The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was officially founded on the 8th of December 1985 by the heads of states of the member countries; Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The goal of the organisation is to help to develop the region and to make trade and travel between these countries easier. It also provides a corridor of communication within many levels of governments on a vide variety of issues. transport, health and population activities,

Environment and climate change, Science and technology to name a few are important regions of corporation among member states. The host country of SAARC is held on a revolving basis on each of the member states and is coordinated by the secretariat of the organisation.
